Firefox OS for Mobile and Tablets

The latest in-trend development in the field of smart phones is the on-going work on the Mozilla's new brain toy,Firefox OS.Living in a world where the mobile phone market is dominated by the iAmericans and the GalaxyKoreans, its hard to keep a firm foot in this market, even then Mozilla has considered working on this new project.

Considering Nokia's downfall in the recent, which was once a major mobile giant and ruled the market for more than 10years.To a rational person this launch might look like a foolish step,BUT Firefox OS could play the spoilsport for these otherwise mobile giants,if it turns out to be the UBUNTU or RED HAT of the mobile devices #if you get the metaphor.Firefox is a Linux based open source operating system programmed in C++ , Java , CSS and HTML5.

Features:
  • The adaptive app search, which is a global as well as the local search .
  • The social networks get synced with the contacts, and are easily accessible from the contact list.
  • Comes with an inbuilt photo editor.
  •  Includes basic features, music radio, messages email etc etc. Nothing as exciting, some normal tids and bits.

The advantage of FirefoxOS is that it is an open source Linux based OS,which  means all the features available on any Linux based operating system gets added to this OS,in addition to this ,the code is freely and openly developed,is available for download from the official Mozilla site. Not only is it a open source software but it is developed by Mozilla team, very well know for its interaction with its customers as well as enthusiasts.

So there would be no harm in getting a hands on to this handy OS,but it success only depends on the fact that how Mozilla plans to shape and develop this software in the near future, because as of now it hardly stands a chance against its rivals, the iOS and Android.
