KTM Super Duke 1290 : Hot as Hell.

  
It was just last year that KTM gave us a glimpse of the beast and now there has been some more teasing from the Austrian's.The adrenaline pumping video is out and the microsite has revealed the tech-specs.



The design is a typical Duke inspired,naked look.You get to admire the curves in the crude form.Talking about the insides the engine is a 1301cc V-twin powerhouse placed at 75-degrees,which produces a massive 180BHP of power at 8870rpm.

Prepare to drop your jaws.....because 100kmph is just a cakewalk,this beasts clocks 200kmph in just 7.2secs.That's right,its even faster than a Lamborghini and to add more KTM claims to have a top speed of 280kmph. Add in the 18-liter (4.75nus gal) tank and the 189 kg (417 lbs) weight without fuel.



However it not just about the performance,but the safety too.KTM packs a 1290 Brembo M50 Calipers with 320 mm discs. There is a Supermoto mode which disables the ABS at the rear which lets you back it into corners. Other riding modes include Sport and Rain.



This jet fighter on two wheels also gets a slipper clutch, ride-by-wire and traction control.My particular favorite is the information cluster,which matches the color of the bike.Looks beautiful and compliments the tone of the bike.
