Google GLΛSS:The new baby in town

Google Inc. known for its headstrong and innovative ideas,has lately been working on a new toy,Google GLΛSS or The Project GLΛSS.This product,yet in the development stages is basically a wearable computer with a head-mounted display which looks quite similar to and average pair of sunglasses.


This device is accompanied by a 5MP camera and a touch pad which is located on the side of the frame of the device.It allows users to control the device by certain pre-defined gestures such as forward slide backward slide etc.The device is also capable of understanding voice commands and gestures.


GLΛSS runs on Android 4.0.4 and allows usage of apps such as Maps,Gmail and many more Google products as well as many third party applications also known as Glassware.The device beta has been launched initially for selected developers for testing and evaluation and final product is expected to hit the stores by 2014.

GLΛSS is a device which explores a completely different domain of modern smartphone and computing,adding a new dimension to the computer development.Backed up by Tech giant Google,expectations are quite high from this device and is certainly expected to do well.
